ABOUT

MANIFESTO SHOW
(in three acts)
2014 – 2015
Manifesto Show is a peripatetic programme of exhibitions, screenings, discussions and publications focusing on the form of the manifesto in histories of post-1960s cultural production.

Three main ‘acts’ designate discrete areas of research and programming. They are: feminist genealogies and the manifesto form; language and resistance in contemporary art; and recent histories of dissent in the British art school told through its manifestos and other pedagogical texts.

The project team are based at Manchester Metropolitan University between the School of Art, MIRIAD and MMU Special Collections.

Our project partners include the Holden Gallery, Manchester; TATE Liverpool and Archive Kabinett, Berlin.

We have received support through the Visual Cultures Research Centre, MIRIAD and Berlin Art Week.
